In order to thrive we need to address the whole person. In my own healing journey, I was stuck in verbally processing stories of abuse and failure, telling the same stories over again and again. My therapist encouraged me to explore somatics and I dove into a world of using the body to experience and process emotion. Now come to understand what "embodiment" really means. When we allow the body to communicate what she's feeling, emotions can be felt and witnessed on a level so much deeper than what we can verbalize. Quieting the mind and allowing the body to speak is the key.

I work with clients to help them form a bridge of communication with the body. All my years in healthcare have taught me the body knows the way, and she always has the last word.
The body knows what it's trying to say and we need to learn how to listen. In both health and disease, the body is always speaking. Can we give her the attention she deserves? Can we show up as our most authentic selves to honor her truth?
