What is somatics and how does is support processing emotions?

Emotions have a physical element, you can feel them in the body. It may be different for everyone, but often, for example, anger feels hot or anxiety feels shaky or grief feels heavy.

In somatic processing we expand into these feeling states and discover gesture, posture and movement to help that emotional energy move and not get locked up in the body.

A somatic process can help you find release and build more capacity for your emotional experience, increasing your self awareness and resilience. The benefit is being able to stay grounded in the hormonal storm of perimenopause and find more stability and harmony in your relationship with yourself and others.
